In the last few years, powder coatings have ceased to be regarded by the industry as “poor” and low quality compared to the liquid ones; on the contrary, they are now recognised as reliable and high quality coatings, with the highest eco-friendliness possible for a paint. The innovation in field of powder coatings has three main development drivers: the energy efficiency, i.e. a reduction of consumption of the energy needed for the cross-linking of the film; the attribution of special features related to the intended use of the product on which they are applied; and the introduction of increasingly particular aesthetic effects to meet the needs arising from new industrial targets.
